We played a lot together, I believe...
Caught two crayfishes by hand in a short time!
Didn't eat it...

Many My First Experiences at River I

As a conclusion, I had many my first experiences there in River I today.

It was my first experience that I took Tommy there and Curryman joined us there.

It was my first experience that there were many earlier fishermen than us around hole A. Parked our bikes the upper hole A at 9:28. Curryman kept going upstream separately.

Checked every hole carefully though,

I got almost no reaction from fish there.
And could see new footprints of early fisherman clearly. It effected so strongly?

It was my first experience that I got skunked in the morning.
Got only one attack around hole A...

It was my first experience that I got bee's bit on my back when I was going to carry my backpack just after I met and talked curryman.

It was my first experience that I saw the bear with little bear. It was good to have taken bear bell though...

13:24 arrived at hole C and walked down to restart fishing.

Soon I got some reactions to my fly mainly in the riffle.
But they couldn't take my fly well...

14:45 first pause because of heavy rain.

15:15 My super late first fish.

15:32 Added this beauty baby as 2nd one.

Even in the evening, the reaction from the fish was not so good and not so bad.

15:45 2nd pause by heavy rain again.
Couldn't restart around 16:30...

Could see several small silent rises at the huge rock section just upper to the parking space. Fish surely took my fly once though, couldn't hook him up well...

After around 17:00, our evening fishing  got started.
We decided to fish until the dark there.

Soon I could find huge good fish was floating around the surface in a slow stream!!
I cast the stimulator which was already tied to my tippet.
He took it very slowly and I was going to set a hook...
But my fly was not hooked to him, and he went down to the deep water...
Oh my goodness...

17:59 3rd one.

18:16 4th

18:38 5th one.
They were not so active on the surface.
I was going to say 'Give up' though...

Remembered the huge fish floating in a slow water 1.5 hours before.
And decided to try him only one more time, and...

After several casts I felt his tug surely to my #14 crippled dun.
He must have eaten more tiny black body bug though,
I prioritized the visibility and hooking performance.

It was my first experience that I could catch 35 so nice buck IWANA(19:12)!
What a day!!

This side should be called 'Side A'.

It was my first experience that I fished around hole C until the dark.
Could be back to the parking space and finished cleaning and packing 21:25.
Answered curryman's LINE that I got 35 at the last!

22:15 Dropped in usual restaurant.
Had safety drive and dropped Tommy off his house around 1:15 AM...

Memorandum for the next trip:
  1. Don't forget to take the water bottle for the bike.
  2. Don't forget to take the chain rock for the bike. This time I borrowed Tommy's one.
  3. It depends on the situation though, it might be a good option that I should go up around hole C first and go down gradually toward the evening. Most of fishermen fished downstream in the morning and finished their fishing before evening today.

Last MADARA

I'd been waiting for rises though,
likely it didn't happen at the upper hole.
So I went down to the hole of yesterday.
4:26 1st one by FN pattern.
Rises were very short and intermittent.
Must be the end of KUROMARA season.

4:50 2nd one was caught by the hair winged dun.

Must be the reason of their sudden rises.

Very small one was seen sometimes there.

Since rises were so slow, I tied big terrestrial pattern.
And move up the stream.

5:21 Beautiful one was caught very close to the bank as 3rd one.

5:41 I could catch the fish staying in a shallow
by sight dry fishing which I'd been targeting from last week.

Should be called OSHINO-MASU,
which must be born and grown up there.
He jumped many times. Must be the proof of the wild rainbow.
I was very satisfied with it.

Went back home at 7:45 as scheduled.

7 times! Please get annual fishing license next year, Lance.

KUMAZEMI Cicada

17:16 We found five shucks of cicada on the tree in our garden.
It was first time since we built our home 7 years ago!
The younger daughter said that she would like to see it.
Let's try it tonight.

20:18 We found the one hatching in the park.

20:39 It's wings were getting extended.

Amazing beauty!

It was first time to see KUMAZEMI's emerging for me also.

20:49 Found the another one hatching.
We are looking forward to seeing next one in our garden.
