Maintenance after very long interval

Felt strongly that I would like to go biking and fishing with my old cherish bike. So let's check it after very long interval. When I was looking into the tool box, I found the pieces of buffer material. It must be spare parts of my first red helmet (15 years ago?), it looked like still fine. So I attached them on my current helmet which was lack of them. I tried to wear it, and it wasn't bad.

2nd, needed to add the pressure of the front suspension. I was almost forgetting the place to attach the pump though, managed to find it.

3rd, added the lubricant to the chain etc. and checked the smoothness of the gear change. And adjusted the tension of some wires. As a result, I think it got much better than before! So I would like to check its performance on the dart road before next biking and fishing trip.

And the early morning on the day after yesterday

Back home once to pick the battery of camera...

5:19 first fish at the hole I didn't have any reaction this season.

Saw some baby snails on the same tree.
Must be after they hatched.

6:13 2nd one at the hole I didn't have any before.

6:45 3rd one was also at the new hole.
It fought so speedy. Not bad start of a new day.

Evening the day just after yesterday

I knew this river shouldn't be colored even just after heavy rain. And it was true. I decided to fish very carefully in a short section and short evening time today. At the 2nd cast to the inlet,

17:06 it was small but the first fish I caught at that hole. I thought that it might be a rainbow trout because it jumped a lot. Maybe it was a little different from the fish in the stream.

Small stonefly was just popping out.

17:44 2nd one at the big pool.
First catch at that hole this season.

Feeling that my casting accuracy was getting improved with the new short rod.

18:02 I knew you were there because you attacked my fly before. Very glad to see you first time this evening.
Short but fruitful time there.

Lance's Off in June; A kind of adventure fishing trip

Left home 4:07 AM borrowing curryman's new car from last evening.

7:56 arrived there.

Make preparation for the adventure.

8:30 Let's get it started!

9:22 Arrived first place called 'B' for us.

9:45 So soon first fish!
Surprised by many signs of fish there.

Foot prints of deer's?

11:32 Last fish in the morning after catching many cookie cutter sized one. To my surprise and regret, I missed several submarine sized one's takes... They attacked my fly very nervously. Fishing pressure?

13:00 Moved to another place called 'C'.

13:05 So soon!
Just after mis-hooking good blacked one's take...

Likely curryman had good fishing there also.

13:31 Could keep catching this size constantly.

Around and under 25cm ones played with me a lot.
And could confirm the existence of submarine sized one there also...

15:25 Moved back to the hole B for the evening.

Contrary to our expectation, submarines kept silence even in the evening... Caught bunch of cookie cutters.

Enjoyed fishing until 19:00! Back to the parking with bike under the rain, darkness and fog.

19:56 ready to go.

21:02 Yum-yum. Thank you for everything, curryman!

Memorandum for the next trip here
  1. Don't forget to take racing pants for the bike not to heart your hip.
  2. 6'3'' length was too short there. You should grab 7'6'' #3 or 8'0'' #4 next.
  3. #14 brown mayfly pattern was effective at B in the morning. Terrestrial pattern was good at C after noon. And #16 peacock parachute was so nice at B in the evening.

After got wet in the early moring

My limit time was 4:45-6:00 this morning.
And I got wet after falling down in to the river...

But this fish let me forget it!

It was getting finish time limit.
Let's check the final hole.

I knew you didn't take my fly several times before.

Could get back home within a limit.
Good start of a day.

Joined local releasing event

It was first time for us to release AMAGO into a river.

10-15cm babies.

My family all loved to do it.
Hopefully we would like to join it next year again.
