It was very lucky to see it, because most of a day was cloudy on 8/23.

8/22 Day1: from 5th to the 7th station of SUBASHIRI

10:23 rode on the shuttle bus to the 5th station.

10:51 arrived the 5th station.

11:07 had lunch at HIGASHIYAMASANSO cabin.

SANSYO(Japanese Spice) pasta was good to eat.

Likely only local SANSYO was used for it.

12:03 after well acclimated with the high elevation, got started!

We also prayed for our safety climb first. 

Basically it was foggy, which gave us cool air like air conditioner.

Fun to walk in the forest.

Sometimes it was getting sunny, but around the top was always covered with clouds.

 

Trees gave us a good shade.

13:35 reached the new 6th station.

I like my new sack very much.

We were enjoying ascending itself.

It got foggy again.

14:29 reached the original 6th station.

 

Almost close to the forest  limit there.

15:46 arrived the 7th station, the cabin which we stay tonight.

Could use 4persons space for us two, because there were a few visitors today.

Around the top was still covered with the clouds.

Nice dinner! Rice and TONJIRU soup were 'all-you-can-eat'.

I had 3 cup of rice and 4 cup of TONJIRU soup!

We went to the bed early though, it was hard to have sound sleep...

An aftertaste of climbing Mt. FUJI

Looks and tastes nice.

They gives me much energy. Yes, it is summer now.

SUBASHIRI route is also famous for its various vegetation. That is one of reasons which we selected this route this year.

Escaping pirate?

No, it is me, enjoying SUNABASHI at SUBASHIRI descent route.

We did it again! : 2nd climbing Mt.FUJI

Ascent route: SUBASHIRI(New; last year was FUJINOMIYA)

Ascent time: 7h 40min.(3:50 + 3:50)

Descent route: SUBASHIRI(New; last year was GOTENBA)

Descent time: 4h 20min.(9:30-13:50)

NATSUMATSURI in MISHIMA

It was first time to see it for us four all though, could feel their powerful energy as Japanese traditional spirits.

When it is very very very hot,

So hot, but got some stuff at Foxfire shop there. That's it.
